At the age of 17, she was locked up in the Sky Box by her father (the King) and the closest thing she had to a real dad, Marcus Kane. Rory Montgomery was locked up because she had committed a crime and had to pay, with her life. However, weeks before she turns 18 she is one of the lucky 100 sent to the ground.
On Earth, Rory is reunited with her best friends and someone she had thought she would never lay eyes on again. It's here that she begins to realise that maybe they weren't as lucky as they first thought. Earth is no fairytale, it's a full blown fight for survival.
