Mother Nature invented the Jedi religion. The first person to ever use the Force was her son. The purpose of the Jedi Knights is to protect the balance between the opposites. Mother Nature connected her four daughters to their opposites, a man with the opposite characteristiscs of them, their Soultrusted.
Ans so does Anari have a Soultrusted, but he's a Jedi, a dark Jedi.

He suddenly bent down closer to my ear. "You should be." I managed to muster up some courage and fire back. "You're insane to think I'll ever join you!"
