Here we follow the main character, Xayah, as she and her friends go on a treacherous journey to the Mountains of Moira to save bring home her father.
Background / Reasoning:
Xayah's mother fell deathly ill and it seemed like no remedies could help her. Her father had heard stories about a City of wealth and medicine deep in the Mountains, so naturally, he set out in search to save his dying wife.
However, he told Xayah he'd return in three months time, no matter what. But it's been four and still no sign of his return.

Fate and Destiny (The Fated Series, #2)
A kingdom across the sea, a man in pain clawing at a hated king who bears two shadows who protect him. A child, born from a mother with the powers of the Gods, screaming at a blood-soaked bed. A boy, a Prince, kind and full of the flame of life, sitting beneath a moon bug lit sky. Darkness enfolds the lands, its grasp claiming the continent and making its way from an already broken island, only to be stopped by the hands of fate. The hands of the girl and the Prince, and their love for the people in need of protection. This is their prophecy. This is their destiny and their fate depends on it. The Elemental rulers and their family are just beginning to find allies from unlikely and unimaginative places while creatures of myth and legend resurface from their campfire tales, and things aren't going as planned, so they'll have to find myths and legends of their own. Shouldn't be too hard. #6 - #strong-heroine #41 - #banter **Average Word Count Per Chapter: 8,000 **Edited (x2) LET ME KNOW IF YOU SPOT GRAMMAR ISSUES! *****Last Edited: 12/14/2024 NOTE FROM ME! - I very much model my works to resemble published examples, so there are no notes in any chapters from me, trigger warnings for chapters, etc. Just the world my brain likes to escape to every now and then. Lost Among the Peaks
This story follows Alex, a young boy who is unexpectedly thrust into a world of danger and mystery when he is pursued by a group known as the Hunters. Initially, Alex believes he's just an ordinary kid, but as the story unfolds, he learns that he's connected to something far greater-something ancient and powerful. The Hunters are after him because of what he is, not just who he is, and they believe he holds the key to a power that could reshape the world. As Alex journeys through the mountains with his companion, Jack, he faces increasingly perilous situations. Along the way, Jack reveals pieces of the truth-Alex is not just any ordinary person, but someone who holds a power that others want to exploit. Jack has been protecting him for years, keeping him in the dark for his safety, but now, with the Hunters closing in, Alex must make a choice: continue running and hiding, or face the truth about himself and the power within him. Throughout the story, Alex grapples with the weight of his newfound identity and the responsibility that comes with it. The mountains, the storm, and the constant pursuit of the Hunters serve as metaphors for Alex's inner journey-he must confront the parts of himself he's been avoiding, understand his purpose, and make a stand against those who would use his power for destruction. In the end, Alex chooses to face his fate head-on, no longer running from what he is, but embracing the strength and potential he has inside. The story is about self-discovery, overcoming fear, and stepping into one's true power in the face of overwhelming odds.
