Lucas Visser is an attractive artist from Amsterdam. He is smart, handsome, has girls fighting over him, he seems to have everything.
Except for the one things he wants so badly, his family.
His mother died four years ago and his father recently passed away. Lucas has lost the spark he once had, his life becoming grey and dull. He wonders what's the point of getting up everyday?
And then one day these letters show up. From his father. Inside the letters Lucas finds a way
to keep a hold of both of his parents, just a little longer.

My face Softens as I take in the sight In front of me. Crouching down I see the women peeking up at me with big blue frightened eyes. Her eyes Flicker between me and the doll in my hand. I slowly reach out the doll handing it to her, she flinches back her eyes squeezing shut in fear. I look back to my brothers to see them looking just as shocked. I turn my gaze back to the girl speaking to her in a soft voice as to not scare her. "It's okay sweetheart, we're not gonna hurt you" i reassured her. Its tone and themes are supposed to emulate John Green in their sadness and maturity. Of course, having never read a book by John Green, I have no idea how well (or even if) I pulled this off.
