The air around her grew as silent as the dead, apart from the constant ringing in her head. Her world began to darken and fog, becoming little more than just a blur. There was a sudden hit of a burnt chemical smell, most likely from the air-bag propellant, as well as the smell of gasoline and smoke. Charlotte's skin turned ashen. Her head nodded, her muscles limp and unresponsive. She finally gave up, letting the darkness consume her wholly.
