Ben Solo was sent to Luke's Jedi Academy to become a Jedi. His skills were so great he was above his class in very little time. He eventually became Luke's apprentice but he still felt empty.

Rey Kenobi was left and abandoned on Jakku by her parents for not being as great as her grandfather. She was so angry she was consumed by the dark side. Snoke immediately noticed and picked her up and perfected her skills. She had everything she wanted. Money. Power. But something was still missing.

Luke still thinks he can save his old masters granddaughter but Ben isn't sure. Snoke thinks that Ben is an important asset but Rey isn't sure. When they meet they have an unshakable bond neither can deny. They hate each other. So why do they have a bond? Will Rey join the light. Or will Ben be seduced to the dark side?

There will be a few augmentations to the earlier story, but I have tried to stay true to the plot up until this point, except for the 16 hr deadline Palpatine gave them. His threat was open ended in my version.
