Ireland, 1907. The Dohertys move to the wooded region of Wexford County where, among the few neighbors, they meet Erynn. She is a sweet and lonely old woman, but they know very little about her past. Her strange attitude and her yearning to meet Alyssa Carleen, the daughter of the Dohertys, puts her kindness in doubt. Ciara feels that something is not right but Rowan does not seem to flinch at the strange gift that Erynn has given to her daughter.
