'A tear rolled down my cheek as I took in short breaths. I glanced at the mirror in front of me to see puffy red eyes. I have to remember that there is more pain that will come, but other pain will never feel like how it is right now.' 

Coming from a New York girl, she doesn't know Texas. Brooke's dad moved to Texas because of work, also to get away from his daughters mom. Brooke's dad refused to let her mom keep Brooke there after he accepted to let her keep the apartment in New York. They both agreed to send Brooke to Texas along with him, and she was devastated. Brooke didn't want to move away with him, and she hated her dad for it, but she knew that if it helped her mom with all that she has been through, she would move. 

She was also losing something she didn't want to ever lose. Her bestfriend and her crush. She loves them both, but has to leave and live in a state miles away.

Now she lives in a town and house she hates, with a room that is way too small, with farm animals in her front yard that makes the property stink, with most of her clothes in New York, and with no friends and no one to talk to. What kind of people will she meet? How will Brooke's relationship with her dad be after the move? How will her new school be? Will she find someone new to love? Will she have to leave her old life behind? Will everything be different than it was before?

Jared is a player he is well know to be. But he never was a player. He use to be a sweet, caring, a gentleman and your dream guy. But things happen, people change you can say and that's what happens when he meet a little brunette who was more trouble then its worth. What happens when they meet? What happens when sparks start to fly? What happens when the people you wouldn't expect to see, you see? Or when Old feelings come back? But most important of all what happens when you fall in love with the wrong person?

No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

As her life gets thrown into chaos and deep dark secrets she can't help but try to figure out the truth.
