In the far future, humanity is fractured. 3 factions are vying for total domination over each other with no end in sight. The Disciples of Velstroth, after being prosecuted and hated for their practice of bio-engineering, attempted to flee from the first Terran Empire. Only thanks to the sacrifice of their leader and master of bio-engineering, Samuel Velstroth, could the millions of bio-engineers and their families escape the Terran armada to the edge of that Sagittarius arm to resettle and begin building an army to fight back. During the year 4320, a devastating plague swept across the southern half of the galaxy. The fatality rate was nearly 99% and it was so infectious that once one person in a solar system was infected, the entire system was doomed. In response to the outbreak, the Terran empire quarantined the entire sector, and cut off all communication. 100 years later, it came into contact with a new, hostile power known as The Scorned. The tiny surviving population of the plague has rebuild with the help of legions of automata and had their sights set on wiping out the empire as revenge for abandoning them to their deaths. Finally theres the New Terran Empire. during the year 4304, a military coup threw the empire into chaos and started a massive civil war. Only with the rise of a woman named Alec Solborn, a tactical genius and public speaker, was a peace able to be found. Now 500 years later, the Solborn line leads the fledgling empire to conquer the entire rest of the Milky Way and recreate the power of the first Terran empire. Amid all this war and bloodshed however, a new power is approaching from outside the galaxy and with humanity fractured and warring, it stands no chance. Only 4 unlikely hero's stand a chance of saving humanity, but old grudges hold strong and the enemy is more powerful then anything humanity has ever seen.
