Mara Woods didn't offer much to tourists and passerby. A pretty creek here, a picturesque neighborhood there, the town was basically a pitstop avenue for those heading up to Tahoe or down to Sacramento for the day. There was little in terms of high end entertainment and merriment, but an abundance of gossip and secrecy.

When Draven Romano tries to take his own life, it leaves little sympathy for the residents to give him- except for the golden boy, Andy Everene, who Draven begins to feel strangely connected to. This connection begins to reveal itself, unraveling into twists and knots that show life and death weren't as simple as Draven believed them to be.
