The Everlasting Effect of the Last Minute Addition

Amie has hit that point in her senior year of high school where nothing really matters anymore and she is so sick of the people who have surrounded her for the past four years of her life. Her future is already set in stone, or so she thinks. With only four weeks left in the year, she gets an interesting addition to her senior class that turns her view of humanity upside down.
Note: Each part is super short, I pretty much write a page and then post it instead of writing in large chunks. Maybe eventually I'll start sorting it into larger chapters to make it easier. Oh, and if you like it (or if you don't) please let me know. I don't get too many readers so it means a lot to hear whatever you have to say.

Unbeknownst to the rest of the world, Nina finds a close friend in the drool-worthy Schwann. Everything is going on perfectly; except for a pack of man-killer cyborg wolves, an insanely powerful rival-in-battle, whose aim in life seems to be throwing challenge after challenge at Nina, and the Senior Troublemaker of the School's latest game :- 'Set fire to a pile of straw'. Well, that's not much, after all, what can a pile of straw do? Nothing, unless there's a stack of fireworks underneath. And that's the least of her worries when Nina's fallen head over heels for Schwann. This is a work of fiction, and the characters introduced are purely fictional. Any resemblance in name or character is unintentional. Just sayin' since this is basically my first story using normal names and settings. The story is currently a one shot. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?"
