Can men be the monsters they try so hard to kill? Can monsters be beautiful creatures with darkness in their hearts? Can one girl find magic in a kingdom so damned even dragons couldn't?
She only ever wanted a home far from the castle she lived in, far from the title she never wanted. A princess so in need of a hero she decides to become her own. But freedom seems so far away when locked up and threaten to be married off to a man who wins a battle. But she'll have her revenge and with a whole kingdom after her she must find ancient warriors of legend to aid her in a war she's started.
A/n so this is the rewriting of lies dressed in lace, much change very different. If you hate it sweet, if you like it even better. Leave comments I can't edit for the life of me so please point things out that bother you. One night, during one of the Prince's courting events - a special type of ball, where dozens of young woman would dress up and dance with the prince, in an attempt to win over his heart and become queen to the Kingdom - An uninvited guest arrived. It was a poor, shivering, elderly woman seeking shelter from the bitter winter storm. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince dismissed the woman. As a gift, the old woman offered the prince a single rose, but when he dismissed her again, the woman's outer appearance melted away. Only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince begged for forgiveness, but it was too late - for she could see there was no love in his heart. The enchantress cursed the prince, transforming him into a hideous beast - and if he was unable to learn to love another, and earn their love in return by the time the last petal from the rose she offered had fallen, he would remain a beast forever.
