They say that if you stay in a city for too long, eventually a woman will come into your life and fuck it up real nice for you. Maybe Lawrence Belanger didn't learn from his first wife, or maybe he doesn't learn in general. After his divorce, Lawrence was presented with work in New York City. He thought, possibly this would be a change for the better, to get the hell out of Massachusetts and to find whatever it was that his newly freed bachelor self was look for. Then Lawrence regarded what being a cop in New York City would be like, a city riddled with organized crime and crawling with sinful temptations around every street corner. Lawrence once considered himself a man of God, that's what he's been raised as in the very religious and localized town of Andover, Massachusetts. New York, on the other hand, supplied a new option for Lawrence. Now, the demon of the city squatted on his shoulder. She came decked in a waistless dress, puffing on a fag, and was sent with specific motives. Her short, blonde hair perfectly ruffled at the ends, and whipped around her head in a rush of golden fervor. Don't let her angelic like hair fool you, though. Evelyn Hollman was no divine force, indeed quite the opposite.
