Starling is pregnant with her boyfriend.
When Dorian dies suddenly, she learns more about him than she ever thought possible. It turns out her late boyfriend is part of an all-male race which relies on human females to rebirth them when they die.
She didn't exactly sign up for this, but luckily his "Brother" seems very keen on keeping her safe. But Dorians death was no accident, and there's still a lot she doesn't know.
