Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species. There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.) Earth is Dead, over population, no food, animal life reduced to just what you see in TV and in Zoo's are all that's left of Nature. Grass has been replaced with fake turf, tree's long gone for their lumber was not able to be regrown at a rate that could match the demand. Places like Alaska were populated so thick you could not find a square foot to stand on let alone live on. Families were living in small 20' by 20' cubicles that were stacked on each other like cords of wood. The Governments only option was to move into space and find new planets to colonize.
