(A little carefree story I decided to type, as the temperatures rise in land-locked (and with no beaches) Kathmandu, and as everyone (and by "everyone" I mean ABSOLUTELY everyone) in my home country the Philippines is in a relaxing beach with friends and family and mango shakes or some other vacation-y alternative.)

Suddenly, a bike bears down on me, its horn blaring. A stranger's swift pull saves me from harm. I tremble, eyes shut, anticipating the worst. But as I open them, I find myself in his warm, reassuring embrace. His steady heartbeat - "thud, thud, thud" - calms my racing thoughts. Our gazes lock, time standing still. I quickly picked up my bag and left the cabin, tears streaming down my face. I tried to call Sanjiv, but he didn't answer. Someone grabbed me and dragged me towards the stairs. I struggled to free myself, but it was no use. As I stood between the two arms, I shouted, "Leave.me.alone.Naksh". His face was inches from mine, his warm breath on my skin. He moved closer to me, whispering in my ear, "Don't cry, my little girl". ---- Everyone has to choose between; Love (or) Responsibility
