Years of war against the people and the government took place. It separated people from their homes, families, and caused them all to survive in groups in an apocalyptic world. To top it off, years of living in a bad environment, exposed by toxins or radiation, can really harm or change your body, making you very ill or turning you into a monster. Monsters weren't really taken kindly by humans in a world thats already been ruined.
It's up to Jade and her few friends to help each other to survive such a traumatic world. But if they push Jade to her limit, the world could be worst than it already is.
