An unpredictable side effect from Remedium Fame, a shot administered to control the appetite of an ever growing population, has lead to the mass cannibalism around the globe.

In this post-apocalyptic world, Volker and Roxanne Hart do what they can to survive before learning of a ferry on the east coast of the US that's transporting those who arrive to the other, less affected continents.

They race to reach the coast before the final refuge boarding embarks from the ruins of the USA.
