Elira Soleil De Castro was a typical MedTech student, brilliant on paper but quietly struggling beneath the surface. With all the expectations and disappointments weighing on her, sometimes she wished she could just test her heart to see how many times it had been pushed to the limit. Her parents were gone, and she was raised by her loving grandparents. Life wasn't easy, but all they asked was for her to finish her degree, no more, no less. So Elira kept going. Sleepless nights, endless pressure, and the loneliness that came with it. It was easier to be the top of the class than to admit she didn't know why she was even fighting anymore. Her anchor was herself and Asher Valentino Valdez. A BSMT graduate, and now pursued medicine. Against all odds, he was there, watching, understanding, silently supporting. She clung too tightly to that silent comfort. Even without words, without promises. But what Elira didn't realize was that in holding everything together, she was slowly disappearing, fading into the shadows of her own expectations. In trying so hard to be enough, she was beginning to shrink in purpose.
