When deportation becomes a death sentence...

Clara lives a happy normal simple life. Until she doesn't. For it depended on a little piece of plastic called green card, which she lacks. It hadn't been a problem, but now it's absence represents a life threat, she's been deported back to Mexico, where an angry ex-husband awaits for revenge.

A story that involves a coyote, a cop, a drug cartel and a daily life hero... just another day on the Mexican border.

Inspired by the article "When deportation becomes a death sentence" by Sarah Stillman in the January 15, 2018 issue of The New Yorker, and the idea of writing a story in two tweets, that later became the first chapter.
