"Why?" I said without starting all the sappy talk.

"Why what?" He asked as if he didn't know what I meant.

"Why are you in this situation?" I asked with such a harsh tone I almost wanted to say sorry. Almost like I said almost.

"Because i loved someone so much that I said I'd do anything for them that includes getting in a fight and near death experiences and nearly killing a man. " He said looking at me with such dreary eyes and he was just looking at me staring into my soul as I tried to hold back every last emotion.
