Jessica Smith is just a normal girl who has a secret. She is considered the loner at her small school. She only has one friend, Mindy Halberd. Jessica has been playing basketball since she was a child but kept it a secret. She would always go to the basketball games at her school but would always stay hidden in the back. She would even critic some of the players playing. She is just trying to get through school with the best grades possible. She isn't looking for a relationship but she speaks her mind when it's needed.

Blake Thomas is the star basketball player of the school. People think he's the best at basketball but he still had a few issues with his playing. He can make the shots but he's sloppy doing it, or at least Jessica thinks. He is the self-centered kind of guy who thinks he 'knows everything' and 'does everything right'. He thinks he the best player until he meets Jessica.
