"I wanted nothing more than to devote my life to the goddess Athena but that all changed in an instant."

Medusa was once a beautiful girl who spent her days in the Temple of Athena as a priestess to Athena. One day however, she was taking a walk along the shore when a man approached her, the god Poseidon. Against her own will Poseidon took something from her that was irreplaceable. Athena, having pity on the young girl, put a curse on her that would protect her from anything like that happening again.

Perseus is a young hero whose destiny is to cut of the head of Medusa. With the help of the gods and their divine gifts he sets out on a journey to find the Gorgon sister and become the greatest hero in all of Greece.

Things to note about this story is that since I'm writing about real historical mythology, there is of course many, many, different variations, retellings and plots in existence for each one of the myths so I will do my best to comment on and add in variations when necessary, though in some cases I may just stick with the most common, my favorite or the most historically accurate depictions!
