*If your interested in making me a cover for this book, please message me I would really appreciate it :)*
It was a Saturday, the first day of summer vacation. I remember the day so distinctly. The day I moved into a new neighborhood that I was not at all familiar with.
New people, new houses, new environment.
But most of all, my father wasn't with us. Out of the numerous times my family had moved in my life, this was the first time we did the stressful, time consuming process without him. I have to admit, it was definitely hard.
My father was my security blanket. He helped us feel safe, and without him, I felt like a lone wolf wandering through a dark forest not knowing where to go next. And, from the looks of it, my sister and mother felt the same way.
I heard a knock at the door. "Hey, Grace?" My mother yelled from upstairs. "Can you go get that for me?"
"Sure." I walk towards the door, kind of slowly. It's pretty terrifying opening the door of your new home that you have barley explored, to a new stranger and god knows what their intentions are.
Little did I know, behind that door was the most annoying goofball anyone could ever meet, who I called Noah Johnson.
Noah led me out of that dark forest. He helped me become comfortable, happy. And even though he annoyed every little nerve in my body, he was still my best friend.
I took a deep breath, and closed my eyes while I opened the door, cautiously.
"Hey new girl. I'm Noah."
