Hi guys! This is the first sci-fi novel I've ever written and wanted to share it with you. English is my second language so sorry for any mistakes. I tried to make it completely scientifically plausible and I'm no pro at writing these so go easy on the comments ;) It's about a man who works for an organization that travels to different years in the future to hopefully find a cure for cancer to bring back to their time. The main character is Isaac and he will face difficult journeys.

the gem of Thunder #1: the quest begins
My friend at school told me he was writing a book called this but didn't know what it was going to be about, so I said "why don't we both write a version of it and then compare them to see what we each did differently," so this is it! This story is about a man called max who dies in an accident and finds himself on a giant spaceship. Where a select few go to look eternally for the gem of thunder, and nobody has obtained it yet. This book is getting a rewrite! I am not satisfied with how it turned out, and it needs reworking for me to finish off the storyline.Complete

But he spirals further and further down the rabbit hole, and creates a web of lies. When the aliens attacked Earth, myself, my best friend Jesse, and my "friend" Timothy may have been the only people to survive. We're on a quest to find other survivors and potentially save our planet, but to do that we have to avoid being shot, eaten, or falling in love. But sometimes things work out differently than we expect, and we have to make the decision: sacrifice ourselves for the ones we love, or the ones we love for the ones we can save.Complete

A massive alien ship and a human in a small pod, in cryogenic sleep, thousands of light-years away from earth.
