Kate thought she had a pretty good life; she has a nice house, family, and friends. That is.. until she starting coughing up flower petals and realized that her best friend is the reason why. Will Kate's life end before it really begins?
Hanahaki disease is a rare fictional disease in which flowers grow in the victim's lungs when they suffer from unrequited love; they cough up flowers and flower petals until they suffocate. The disease can only be cured when the feelings are reciprocated, or when the victem dies. The flowers can be removed via surgery, but the ability to love goes away as well.
