King and Lionheart

This story is based off a song of the same name by the band "Of Monsters and Men" so feel free to have a listen to the inspiration for this story!

The story is set on a large island continent, a vast forest cleaving it in two. On one side of the forest are the Kings, who pride themselves on being refined and educated, proper in every sense of the word.
On the other hand, their close neighbours are the Lionhearts, who are, in contrast, wild. They pride themselves on their connection with nature and the guardian creatures, who they call the Kali, who watch over it.

Elodie is a King, Idryss is a Lionheart.
