Who is the John McDonough that hides behind the ghoulish Mayor Hancock of Goodneighbor? Our story begins with a sickly little boy at the age of seven who grew up in an old house on the waterfront, accompanied by his entitled older brother, his submissive mother, and his mentally abusive father. From one-night stands, to backstabbing chem dealers, to a caring detective, to dead-end jobs, to near brushes with death, John's next 39 years would be fraught with challenges before he would eventually meet his missing piece.

Vi was initially annoyed with the three they considered 'Care Bears' three skeletons that cared a bit too much for their mental health, later on meeting Error, someone they wanted to be better for, Vi might've fallen for the four's words, but they have a lot of hurt inside them, how could they ever be good enough for Dream, Blue, Ink, and Error? Vi would have to be patient with themselves for once. Pluto was unlucky. It was unlucky that he ran into Fell, it was unlucky that he got himself a job at Ebott cities psych ward, where he happened to meet quite the plethora of skeletons and more only kept on coming, gaining Fell as a roommate and Classic, Sci, and Outer as neighbors, Pluto felt maybe he could form attachments again.
