«Hardly they tried to escape from this place and now there they are, in the forest leaving behind the burned building. Shaw could no longer stand and with her still usable arm she supported her body with a tree. Seeing that she could not go on alone, Aurore lifted her by placing her arm behind her neck and her hand held her hip firmly. So they set out again. "Why are you helping me? You should leave me here. I was not the kindest with you I do not see why you waste your time with me." Shaw started in a hoarse and broken voice. "I do not care what you told me or did. There is no way for me to abandon you here! Never !" Aurore shouted with all the determination in her. Feeling her end was near, Shaw smiled discreetly and watched her sister's resolute face. She uttered, with all the last resources of energy, those words she had dreamed of telling her for a long time. "Thank you little sis. I love you" »

Burnt

"Alison," one of them says, walking closer to me. "Yes, Alpha?" I ask as I shuffle back slightly, keeping my head down. He takes a few more quick steps towards me, backing me into the cupboards. I flinch when his hand reaches out to gently cup my face. Oh, no. "Look at me." My body involuntarily listens, lifting my head to look into deep green eyes. 'Mate,' my wolf, Vanessa, whispers weakly, talking to me for the first time in over a year. 'Nessa?!' I try to call back to her. She doesn't reply. I look back at the twin that I now somehow know is Cameron. My eyes dart between him and Chris as I start to hyperventilate. No. If Cameron is my mate then that means...No... Alone since the death of her parents, Alison Taylor has spent six years relying on herself, surviving by herself, and protecting herself. The time that she doesn't spend working or studying is spent fearfully avoiding bullies. All she's ever wanted was to get out of the pack and away from those who hurt her. Everything changes when the future alphas of her pack come of age and discover she's their mate. Alison's life changes forever as past wounds are reopened and secrets are brought to light.
