"Red suits you."

She smugly replied to the compliment. "I know. Compliments my skin tone."

"It's your favorite color."

"Yup, I definitely knew that."

He leaned in so others around them wouldn't hear and lowered his voice an octave, "And it's really bothering me, still, knowing you're not wearing a bra."

She smirked, "Yes, well aware of that, Mr. Khanna."

He gaped, "You couldn't have."

She scoffed leaning in herself, and speaking with lowered voice as well to match his, "Please, I have eyes, which is why I see how your eyes keep glancing down, which, by the way, you need to stop if you don't want people to think you're some sex-starved..."

"Okay. Stop." He bluntly ordered, knowing he couldn't handle it if she finished that statement. He hadn't thought it, but her saying the word 'sex' itself was making him flash back and he knew he wanted her again.

There was no way I was going to share the same room as him after what he just did. I released a breath which I held in for god knows how long. Disclaimer: This is a dark romance. You will not agree with the way the main characters proceed about things or severely hate the male character. Keep in mind that the couple remains toxic for a really long time. There are elements of verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse as well as themes of abandonment. //// "Go to sleep, Rubina." He demanded softly, noticing the way her hands seemed to shiver in the cold, her eyes lost as she stared at her empty palms. "I can't. I need to go see Amma, give her the medicine, change-!" He shook his head, his voice quivering as he cupped her face. "What about you, Angel? Who's going to take care of you?" The confusion that settles over her eyes is what undoes the last of his barriers, bringing shame down on every crevice of his skin. Her voice is oddly quiet when she says, "No one." /// Rubina "Nina" Tahir knew no limits when it came to love. She loved openly, wholeheartedly. Her kindness knew no bounds but rather seeped from the cracks between her fingers. Wherever Nina went, color followed. Until Omair. Omair who was so stoic, so cold that he seemed to freeze Nina's world. Omair who didn't want any of Nina's love, scooping it up in his palms just to return it to her aching heart. Omair who she had loved more than anything, more than laughter, more than color, more than herself. Right as Nina prepares to give up on a man she had loved for ages, her world falls apart, cracking at the seams, leaving her defenseless. And all she has now is a man in repentance and a life that is too far away.

"D--Don't...!!" She wasn't afraid but her fumbling in front of him was because she couldn't believe it. But he shamelessly smiled at her. Putting his one foot near that disshelved girl on bed. "Why, Rebel...? It was indeed a worthy night." He commented smirking. While grazing his lips on her earlobe he further said-- "And must I confess. You were.... Awesome." His voice was husky, but mockery filled a bit more. "The way you wanted me to touch you..." He brushed her unkempt hair with his fingers, removing them from her face. "And I swear...Your pale body in my arms was looking so---" "No !!!! Just shut up !!!" She jerked his hand off. Her face red with embarrassment. Embarrassed of her own self ! "I won't do any such thing--" "Oh believe me darling, you were doing, or I must say, begging to do such things ! Begging me to..." He once again brought his lips near her ear. "To wash all your sins by touching you. And I don't think a man can touch a woman better then...this---" "Oh just stop !!!" She said, her eyes blazing. Tears rolling down her eyes. "You are a pathetic man Thākur Rāghavendra Nārayan Agnihotri !! I didn't think you can be this lowly !!" "And I don't care about what you think, Inaayat Khan ! All I know is..." He trailed, both his words and his finger on her cheeks. "I liked you, atleast in bed last night. So from today onwards you'll be spending your nights in my room. And I repeat ! I don't fucking care, where you are whole day, but your nights should be with me." He said with a serious face. "Dear wife..." "No !!! That's not how men treat their wives, Thaakur saahab !! This is how they treat their whor---" She couldn't complete. "One more word, and I will show you how I treat my whores !" His dangerous voice sent shivers down her core. But disgust overpowered it ! And he left..... Descending down the stairs, he looked up. That must be enough.🖋️
