There is a little known fact about the werewolf community - a species of wolf known as the Fertile. A fertile is a female wolf born and bred to continue the line of werewolves in a pack. In real life, not every wolf has a mate, and if they do, they aren't always guaranteed to find them. It's hard to find your mate when they could be on the other side of the world. Fertiles are a safeguard. A fail-safe. A back up.

That's what Harper grew up thinking of herself. She resigned herself to mothering children in the pack; to never living a life of her own, because all she was born to do was give life to others.

Until she realized that life has more than one plan for us.

** Please read The Alpha's Beta (BOOK 1) before this, or you might get a little bit lost along the way :) ** Life, it's not always fair. It never turns out the way you plan it. In the timeline that I had planned for myself, it would have been me and my mate, no matter who it was, together forever, that's the saying, isn't it? Unfortunately, that wasn't what life thought for me. Going rogue was hard, I knew it wasn't going to be easy but I was one of the lucky ones. I managed to become part of a group. My life was alright, my stomach was full and my life was finally starting to look up. At least it was, until I pulled the sedation dart out of my side, and realised I was going to be knocked out cold. I was going to wake up somewhere else, probably on my own and who know where. What could these humans possibly want from me?
