Help Me Feel Again

The name is Harmony. I was a normal girl before it happened. I loved to draw and write. I loved all things artistic.

Some of you may be asking what happened. It's a lot to take in. But when I was really young, I was kidnapped. It was all a blur but I remember everything when my captors settled.

I remember being alone. I remember the dark. I remember the awful stench of body odor. I remember the creaking wood floor. The remember the cold atmosphere.

There was this one night when one of the captors came down with some food. It had been awhile since I ate, so if you understood my pain, you would understand why I let him do whatever he wanted.

The whole subject still makes me sick to my stomach. I'm just glad I got out of there.

Even though I'm far away from that place and my captors are far away from me, I still have nightmares.

But ever since I found you, I feel...human again.
