Each child is born different, but Juliet Summers is the very definition of different: She was born almost completely red. And not only that, her blood had the power to heal wounds, as well be an antidote for a number of illnesses. However, while most would consider this a blessing, to her, it was a curse. Her father, Gabe Summers found out about this, and sold it off to many questionable people to get rich quick! Our brave heroine escapes, but soon collapses from exhaustion. As grim as it seems, two heroes find her, and take her in to recover. After hearing her plea, P2 and his pal Luke decide to help her find a place to live in peace. But many people know about her absence from her home, and have taken notice...I Can P2 and Luke get her to safety, as well as keep her from getting kidnapped???

As far as Juliet is concerned, she is just a normal girl. A normal girl with purple eyes, that is. All Juliet can think about is school ending and summer break, and her upcoming date with Tony. But all of that changes when her mother's fear of Los Angeles stops looking as irrational as Juliet thought. When Juliet runs to Los Angeles to escape a pair of stalkers, her world is changed, literally. Juliet is thrown into a magical world on the brink of civil war, becoming a target of both sides of the conflict. She must decide if she will rise up and become the hero everyone expects, or if she will light the fuse that sets the world ablaze. Juliet will have to throw out everything she ever believed about fairytales, because now, she's in one.
