Travis is a half demon. He's a monster that hides away from society in a cave, high in the mountains. He is regarded by the people of Enki Island as a horrible beast that if allowed would kill all upon sight.
His large green eyes have learned to fill with hate, his mind blurred with anger and frustration at the hate he gets. He knows he doesn't deserve it, so if they want something to hate, he'll give them something to hate.
He isn't a monster. He's sweet and kind, and fights his father, though the islands people cannot see it. He is lonely, though. For nobody wants to talk to the demon.
Zane is the High Priest Of O'Khasis. A being blessed by Irene herself. He holds himself to the standard of his family's name, punishing those who don't obey and expanding his father's rule. He acts cold and angry, a heartless demon among the angels in his family.
He stands in the shadow of his older brother, the perfect child compared to Zane. He may be blessed by Irene, but Shad controls his heart. In his thirst to one up his brother, Zane has become a monster, fuelled by greed.
Zane's hate does not quite reach his heart, however much he would like it to. His mind is filled with anger and greed, yet his heart is filled with fear and uncertainty. He doesn't let anyone see it, but he is terrified of being left in the dust of history, like his younger brother.
Zane will do anything to be remembered, if only to show his brother that he's important too.
Travis will do anything to be forgotten, so he could just be normal.
When these two monsters meet, will they finally crack the dark shadows that surround them?
(I do not own any of the characters. Everything but the story belongs to Aphmau.)
A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
