The music industry was no place for a child, let alone a girl like Kathleen. Yet despite her arbitrary seizures and a looming threat of an abusive relationship weighing on her shoulder, her band had managed to become one of the biggest names in punk rock. Now, she was on her second run of the Vans Warped Tour.  The summer of 2014 was about to be the most formative few months of her life, in the best and worst way possible.

Awsten Knight, on the other hand, had nothing to lose. His band was unsigned, underground, and ready to take their first year on Warped Tour by storm. This was about to be the best summer of his life, until Kathleen came along leaving him in a whirlwind of her twisted past and dangerous secrets.

Now living in the city of Los Angeles in 2021 with her best friend Francesca (26), everything she's ever worked for hanging on by a thread and to no fault of her own. A lawsuit is in place and Tatum is still stuck in a contract. No new tours can be booked. No new music videos. No new work of any kind - at least not yet. Tatum is ready to leave LA and go back to New York - to the city she loves and holds some of the best memories before losing her mother - before she discovered her ex-boyfriend, Josh Reeves from the band Colorless was cheating on her. She'd sworn off musicians since then. She'd practically sworn off men all together until one night when Francesca drags her to an album release party for one of her empoloyer's, MDDN, clients. But you always wondered why he never spoke a word to you. The only time you hear his voice is when he sings. Was he nervous or protecting himself? He sure wanted to protect you from the voices in his head. Maybe a little too much.

Both Awsten and Lia are extremely gun shy after the loss of their first son, so being pregnant again only seems to fan the flames of their shared anxiety and the ghosts from the past trickle into their safe, secluded little bubble, threatening to destroy the life that they had started building back up together. They will have to work together, something they did not do last time, in order to keep their relationship steady and not repeat their past mistakes.
