A storm billows in the night, raging and churning, the wind fiercely whipping icy, needle-like rain. The only light was provided was from a torch and the branches of lighting that briefly flashed in the sky, casting broken beams of light through the canopy of trees. A young man is caught within the rage of the storm, his vision limited from the rain and the inky blackness that surrounded, save for the small circle of his torch's light.

Another bolt of lighting broke through the sky in an explosion, the light shone through the trees. Just off the path lie a cave, the looks of which was a welcome sight for the young man. He ventures forth into the cave to escape the storm. Upon entering the cave, he assumes himself to be the only resident. A voice echoes out from the eerie shadows, the young man is caught off guard. His heart sinks as the wielder of the voice made their form known. Within that night, the young man's life would be changed. The question being, is it for better or worse?

Y/N had long since perfected the art of hiding the cracks in her heart, a quiet ache that lingered beneath the surface, unnoticed by the world around her. Trust had been shattered too many times, leaving behind only the remnants of love she once gave so freely. The weight of solitude clung to her like a second skin, and each day she walked through life as though she were a ghost, watching the world pass by, yearning for something she couldn't quite reach. But when the night embraced her, when sleep whispered its soft lullaby, everything changed. In the silence of her dreams, something shifted-though her eyes could not see, her heart felt it. It was a presence, gentle yet unyielding, that made her believe, just for a moment, that there was more to life than the ache she carried. A presence that whispered in the stillness, as though it had always known her, waiting in the spaces where dreams met reality. In that sacred space, between waking and sleeping, Y/N began to feel the warmth of something new. It was not a dream, but something more-a promise, tender yet powerful, that whispered softly to her soul. "I can't promise you a perfect world, but in this moment, let me be the one who never lets you go." In The Dreamer's Embrace, Y/N begins a journey where the weight of silence starts to lift, revealing a connection she never expected-a love, not of fantasy, but something she's always longed for. Will she open her heart to this strange, beautiful presence, or will the weight of her past keep her trapped in the shadows?

"You thought you could threaten her? That you could hurt her, violate her the way that you did and walk away alive?" His voice was filled with raw fury, each word like a blow. "Please," the Sower gasped, his eyes darting to the ghastly charred remains of his men. "I- We didn't mean-" Thane didn't let him finish. With a surge of heat, the flames flared from his body, engulfing the man in a swirling inferno. The Sower screamed, his cries echoing through the clearing as the fire consumed him, but it didn't end his life-not yet. Thane controlled the flames, letting them torture rather than kill, a terrifying display of his power and restraint. "Didn't mean to?" Thane echoed mockingly, leaning down so his face was inches from the Sower. His eyes burned with rage, dark and unrelenting. "You meant every word, every threat, every action. And now you'll burn for it." ******************** In a world torn by war, where men and women are divided into separate kingdoms, Fern, a healer and herbalist, sets out to end the decade-long conflict. Her quest leads her toward the men's kingdom, but an unexpected encounter with an injured man changes everything. Little does she know that the man is the undefeated Ghost of the Battlefield. He was notorious and feared for slaughtering female warriors. Despite the hatred in his eyes, Fern makes the decision to heal him, forging a bond that neither expected. As their worlds collide, they must face the scars of their past. Can a single act of kindness heal old wounds, or will the weight of their history destroy them both?

Battle. Blood. Entertainment. That's all she had known. This was the reason she was born. Her destiny. She was told to fight, to kill, to hunt for the rest of her life, to entertain those that paid. Not wanting to be told what to do any longer, she decided to leave and find friends to explore the world with. And where else to begin that search than with the Hunter Exam? ↜♡❖♡↝ This is a Killua Zoldyck X fem!Reader story ^///^ !Kind of a slow burn, but filled with lots of fluffy moments! !TW! Mentions of blood, gore, fight-scenes, death, etc. If you are uncomfortable with any of these things, this might not be the best story for you to read! In case you didn't read any of my other books: -My first language isn't English (it's German), so there might be spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, etc. (feel free to point them out :D) -My writing improves as the story goes on!
