Everly Maylabel is an average high schooler. She's kind, honest and very overprotective of her best friend. Everly would do anything for Nova, and one such occasion puts the girls in detention together. What happens afterwards changes their lives forever.
Deviants, mutated humans, run rampant through the town. Since they started showing up, life has greatly changed. Curfew is at five in the evening and no one is supposed to travel by themselves, but people don't necessarily like listening to the rules and deviants like taking advantage of things just because they have the power to do so.

So this is a story I wrote about a girl named Nova. She lives in a world where everyone has a supernatural power. Nova is 13, and if a person's power doesn't show by the time they're 14, they're given to the Government to either be tested or killed. The Government basically makes all the decisions for the whole country. So, Nova's 13, and she still hasn't discovered her powers. When her birthday comes, she still has no power. She can either be sent to the Government, for either testing or death, or she can risk her life running away. I created this story, I created these characters, the characters and the plot are mine. The visions warned her last night of the party, she had repaired the shield that had been sabotaged but she wasn't certain it would hold, the damage was severe, and nobody would listen to her because of the aforementioned bully.
