Humans have become nearly outnumbered and fight every minute of everyday to just stay alive. Most people cower away from the Vampires, their flight response stronger than that of the fight. This could not be further from the truth for our heroine, Arianna “Ari” Jade Martinez.
Arianna has lost everything that ever meant anything to her at the hands of the power hungry vampires. When you have nothing left to live for, death doesn’t seem like too bad an alternative. And when you don’t fear death there really isn’t much left to be afraid of.
