A miserable revolutionary ghost and his magician friend get called on a mission away from home.

Set in the same world and time as The Lullaby of Trees by Darkgenius3

The little blonde girl sighs. "Where do we find these 'reinforcements'?"

Aatun laughs humourlessly. "All over the city, little one. We will not let our brothers and sisters down."

"We'll take down Wilhelm!" The little girl announces, giggling. "Death to all vampires!"

"Not all," Aatun corrects her.

My heart seems to catch in my throat, skipping a beat. I force myself to swallow. They want to kill Wilhelm.

I should have known that bit, and to be honest, I probably did, but it still shocks me. This isn't a game.

I stand up, the chair I sat on scraping against the tile floor. I pull Elijah up by his sleeve. I turn around. Aatun and the blonde girl stare at me.

"Iblis," Aatun murmurs to the blonde girl.

"Oliver-" Elijah wrestles from my grasp. "Ollie, let me finish! I'm winning!"

"We are leaving. Now," I hiss.

The Ghosts of Melbrew [1/12] by LillianRS
34 parts Complete
BOOK NUMBER 1 OF 12 IN THE MULTIMAGICAL SERIES BY LILLIAN R.S. ☆☆☆ Emeline Orman was sixteen when she and her parents moved across the country to the coastline of Washington state. A small town known as Melbrew sat comfortably in the middle of thick woods, so tiny and unknown that it doesn't show up on any maps, making it the perfect spot for malicious activity to go unnoticed. On her first day of school, she met some rather weird people, who all shared a strange similar interest. This little group had quite the reputation for their knowledge of the town's not-so-secret dark history... as well as all of the unusual things that have been reported to them. It all started with the rich Humphrey family tragedy back in the 1800s, where for years it has been speculated that the mother killed her husband and children. Being very eager to get to the bottom of all the town's mysteries, one thing leads to another as discovery after discovery begins to pile up, ranging from random holes in the ground, to suspicious buildings in the middle of the woods. Secret doors, tunnels, and books that talk about nonsense seem like they lead nowhere, with no connections! Though perhaps the most mysterious oddity of them all is the otherworldly gateway surrounded by old fences, tied back to the founding family. ☆☆☆ • CW: Strong language, murder, and gore • 34 Total Chapters! • Total Word Count: 142,450 • PLEASE NOTE: This book is part of a series! It is the first book of 12. • This book is not my final product! This is just my way of easily sharing it with family and friends! I plan to edit and get published someday. Feedback and thoughts are appreciated, positive or negative! I will go back and edit/change things. • For more information on the Multimagical Series, check my bio! ☆☆☆

"THE AFTERLIFE CAN BE A REAL BITCH, RIGHT?" "Henri-" I began, but Henri's hand snatched up mine and squeezed tightly enough to break bones. I bit my tongue to hold back a cry. It was a warning. "Maria didn't say anything about a couple of vampires wanting to meet with her," the green-haired warlock spoke after the area had stilled with electrified silence. I looked Henri's way, and that's really when our situation caught up with me. Wait... "Maria..." I murmured in remembrance, then sent Henri a glare. "Why are we here to see Maria Day? If you don't remember, let me remind you that I killed her friend. Hell, her master. She'll kill me when she sees me." Henri had the nerve to laugh softly. "You're already dead, Antoinette." "Thanks to you. There are other ways witches can hurt vampires, aren't there?" My eyes traveled shortly to the warlocks, Daniel and Zachary, and I shook my head. "She'll burn me alive! I'm not going in there." "You're overacting," Henri said with a dramatic eye roll with a worth of a slap across his face. Lucky for him, I kept my hands at my sides. This night was about to get dangerous... This is Book 3 of The Hunters Saga! 1st draft, so there WILL be mistakes! Cover thanks to @AlexandraSinclair1! *Rated PG-13 for thematic peril and angst, rude humor, mild language, occasional innuendo and sensuality, and graphic imagery in some places. [BOOK THREE] "Falling in love was never a plan, Minnie." I sighed, fingers reaching up to rub my temples as I blinked my very translucent eyelids. "I was never courting death. No pun intended. And now I'm quite literally a few thousand feet underground, possibly dead, and in love with an eon-old spirit. What else could happen?" *** She had honest to god tried so hard as to stay out of harm's way. However, Addison's new found friendship with Death himself was enough to force her to make the worst decision of her life: Jump in front of a poisonous dart that could kill off an immortal god-like being just so she could protect the cynical spirit she had fallen in love with. Oh, and was it mentioned that the spirit was actually Death himself and had been trying to kill her off just a year ago? Yeah, that happened. Now stuck in the underworld of hell itself, Addison needs to find her way back to the land of the living. With only one of her best friends, Minnie Hoover, as a companion through this deadly (not so much for her since she's already stone cold dead) mission, as well as the said spirit by her side, the blonde stunner has five days to find her way back to life before she would be shipped off into the reincarnation system. And thus losing herself, and her friends, forever. How hard could it be? After all, Addison didn't need to worry about being stabbed in the back again (in every sense of the word). Perhaps all it takes is the one thing she tried to avoid from the beginning. A kiss from Death himself. ***** Highest Rank Fantasy: #7

He asked. I clapped my hands together and sighed. "To go home." His face instantly fell. He walked right into that one. "Well that sucks because you aren't going anywhere, kitten." I growled lowly at the nickname and crossed my arms. "Who says?" I argued. "I just did. Now stop acting like a brat and tell me what the hell you want to eat," he said frustrated. I rolled my eyes and turned around to exit the room. "Where the hell are you going?" He yelled at me. I stopped and turned around to look at him. "I don't want to have any food prepared by you. You're hands are probably just as dirty as your mouth. Watch your language," I stated simply and exited the kitchen. ________________________________________ © All Rights Reserved 2014
