Dean isn't ok. he's had a very stressful day with the supernatural con and the ghosts and his life in general. he is so ready to leave. as he's saying goodbye to Damien and Barnes, they tell him something that he would never have guessed (of course not he's stuck in his own hyper-masculine, heteronormative world). this 'reveal' brings some of his thoughts and feelings into question.

So I wrote this immediately after watching this episode (The Real Ghostbusters, season five episode nine) partly because I had a good idea and partly because I thought it would be interesting to revisit my views of the characters as I progress with the show.
