Dean isn't ok. he's had a very stressful day with the supernatural con and the ghosts and his life in general. he is so ready to leave. as he's saying goodbye to Damien and Barnes, they tell him something that he would never have guessed (of course not he's stuck in his own hyper-masculine, heteronormative world). this 'reveal' brings some of his thoughts and feelings into question.
So I wrote this immediately after watching this episode (The Real Ghostbusters, season five episode nine) partly because I had a good idea and partly because I thought it would be interesting to revisit my views of the characters as I progress with the show. Anyways please enjoy it

Little spoilers to the 14th season (nothing major). Sorry for grammar mistakes, but English isn't my first language and this my first work. This whole fic was written at the beginning of December 2018. I had a lot on my head and then I lost my notebook where the story was written. Sorry to those who waited. After Dean had said yes to Michael and fighting with him to leave he had a lot of Time to think about everything. Yet all his thoughts lead him to Castiel. After rescuing his vessel's daughter Castiel sets out on a life of his own feeling like a failure now that he is human again. He makes his way to Chicago, discards his phone, his last tie to the Winchesters, and takes on a job as a janitor in a school, but no matter how far he runs away from Kansas, he can't escape his feelings for Dean. He thinks Dean doesn't want him after their last altercation and it's not until he finds an email from Dean in his inbox that he is reminded of everything he left behind, and the only place that was ever really home to him. With some help from Charlie, Dean is able to track Cas down, but will he have the guts to finally open up about how he really feels? Read and find out. Comment if you like it. The Winter of 1959 is here, and Dean Winchester meets Castiel Novak at a party. When Dean finds out Castiel is gay, and quite literally has secrets up his sleeves, how will he react?
