Never take anything for granted, you never know what's going to happen. Hecate Brook knows it now. Her life has changed in a few days. Her sister is missing, no one knows where she is. Her parents are hiding something, strange things are going on all around her and she isn't even sure about her own identity. So yes, her life is quite messed up. She wants answers, but sometimes it's better not to know. Sometimes it's the only thing keeping you safe. And to add more trouble to this long list of problems, there is Daemon. The hottest guy Hecate has ever seen, but that's not why he's trouble. (Okay, maybe a bit. She's a girl after all) But darkness surrounds him, there's something about him that scares her. Unfortunately, he might be the only one who can lead her to her sister.
In this book, you'll find a lot of supernatural creatures, but it's not just a fantasy book. I'm also a very picky reader, the first thought is always "Yeah, they're all the same. I'm sure it's going to be boring." But don't worry, I'll give my 100% and make sure there are a lot of twists and turns to make the story interesting. Hecate is not a powerless, stupid loser. She's a fighter and she'll even go through hell to protect people she loves. You don't mess with her and if you do, well that's the first and the last mistake you make.

However, working in such a field doesn't completely keep her from interacting or coming close to the animals she fears so much, especially when she's sent on an expedition along with some explorers to an uninhabited island to research and discover new species of plants and animals as well as search for an elusive and highly venomous serpent that is said to inhabit the strange isle. It also doesn't help when their helicopter suddenly malfunctions and the group ends up crash-landing in the middle of a dense jungle with no way of contacting the outside world for help. and to make things worse for poor Lyra, something seems to be stalking her in this new and unfamiliar environment. It's bad enough she's trapped with no way home in such a dangerous place, but when she comes across signs of a monster lurking somewhere on this uncharted isle, she comes to find that the worst of her nightmares have only just begun. because the thing that's been stalking her from the shadows as fangs and scales just like the creatures she fears the most, with intentions of keeping her trapped with it on the isle.

I closed my eyes ready for my death when I heard a very loud and dangerous growl, I swear I felt the ground under me shook by it. I opened my eyes quickly to see what it is, but I couldn't believe my eyes, I just couldn't. even in this state, me crying mess, in pain, this was just like a dream. H-how is that possible?
