My father saved the world once and he's working on saving it again, but I'm going to kill him. Even if the nanotech he pioneered might solve every problem facing the earth, he still needs to die for what he did. I don't care that I'll get experimented on like a lab rat, that I'll have to join his cult-like Butler Institute and pretend to be his loyal follower like my hundred brothers and sisters, or that his tech makes him nearly invincible. I'll pay whatever it costs, even my own mind, to get the power I need to take my revenge. I owe Mom that much.

100 years into the future, biology has given way to a new humanoid race, the Supernaturals. However, survival for them isn't easy in a world where they are criminalized and oppressed. It's survival of the fittest, or rather, the smartest and most successful. And with a criminal underworld full of illegal Supernatural activity, things are bound to spiral out eventually. (This series has had a rocky start. I've rewritten it hundreds of times over and have finally found something to roll with. Enver Williams is leading on a normal life but that is all ripped away from her when she is taken from her home town. "It wasn't me who shot her," he sits on a stool, resting his elbows on his knees. "Then how do you know she was shot?" "I saw it. I saw him kill her," his voice was riddled with such pure vulnerability and pain it begged me to believe him. "Who?" I try to sound sympathetic, but it comes out as scared. Maybe, subconsciously, I am scared.
