My father is-was a hitman for the Italian mob. 18 years ago he turned into an informant for the CIA, his testimony put away the Big boss, breaking their structure. Right away he was put into witness protection and moved from New York to sunny California. Less than 3 months later he married my mom and had me. If you think he kept me from learning about his past you're dead wrong.

"If it wasn't you then... Bye Luca." I turn and start to walk away when he grabs my wrist.
"Jade, who's following you. I can help you can trust me." The last two words cause me to freeze up again. I can't trust him. He's a leader of the Blood Soldiers. He obviously can't be trusted. I look him in his bold green eyes as he stares back into mine, which are cold and showing no emotions.
"Nothing you need to concern yourself with, Luca." With that I escape his grasp and head in between the buildings it's too dangerous to enter through the door so I use the fire escape. Before I enter my building I look towards Luca. He looks to be in deep thought suddenly he starts his bike and races off. I enter in through my window when I hear someone, I know my parents aren't home yet. Oh no, they found him. In a panic I quietly open my closet and pull out the shotgun I hid behind my clothes. Bursting the door open I point the barrel at the intruder's head.
"Don't shoot."

[COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. "Leave us alone," Joey says, sounding dangerous and snapping me out of my thoughts. The levity of the situation hits-we need to get out of here. I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living. You see, there are these apps where anybody can write books, stories and the sort and one day, scrolling the FB (which I don't usually do but I kill time with it on occasions) my eyes fell on a title that made me scoff. The title, 'Mafia in Love'. I remember I laughed terribly then, one of the very few times I laughed, or smiled for that matter. Some people truly feel they know anything about Mafia. It was not far from the truth, though. We are in love. We are in love with money, power, luxury and women. Actually more like to f. women. A lot. At least that's what I love.
