Diversas situaciones te han convertido en una joven indiferente ante muchas cosas. Lo único que te mantiene viva es esa beca que te dio el gobierno por notas excelentes en el colegio, haciendo que ahora vivas bajo un techo que también te paga el país.
Acabas de ingresar a la universidad más prestigiosa del país, la cual está en Ciudad Ebott. Ciudad Ebott es conocida por sus diversas leyendas de monstruos, así como por el Monte Ebott, que nadie se atreve a escalar por una sola razón: el miedo a la muerte.
Sin embargo, tú tienes que ir ahí por un experimento que te pidió el presidente estatal por razones de avaricia. Si decías que no, toda esa beca se iría a la basura. Tienes un coeficiente intelectual alto, pero eso no significa que puedes predecir el gran cambio que este monte hará en tu vida...
