Following the Dark Days that destroyed much of Panem, The ruthless Capitol, under the harsh leadership of President Star, creates the perfect punishment for the rebels. Known as the "Hunger Games," a pageant to appease the citizens in the Capitol.
Eric Craemer, a young man from district 7 burdened with the weight of keeping his family together and alive, must fight to keep himself alive in the first arena full of deadly traps and tributes, unwilling to shed the blood of fellow rebels, most of them anyways.
