Language Barrier ❤️ (Taehyung x Reader /Female/)

Reader is a foreigner in middle school that has just been moved over to Korea due to their mother being stationed there. Reader is transferred to an international school in Seoul, but doesn't know any Korean. They are always with a tutor or in special language classes, but the only class they fully attend without help is English. This is where they meet Tae, the school's class clown, who is laid back and flirtatious. He's curious about the foreigner and tries to approach them. He soon realizes they barely know any Korean. Despite the language barrier, his infatuation with the reader drives him to pay attention in English class and get a special tutor. Even though he learns as much English as he can, its still hard and awkward for them to communicate. The year passes by quickly, as it was already the last half when reader is transferred. A few weeks before school is let out, reader tells tae they are moving back to their home country. When it's time to leave, they make him a promise. "When I learn Korean, I will come back and find you."
The years pass and Tae eventually realizes reader is most likely never coming back. He goes onto becoming a Kpop star, yet still has a slight feeling of hope for their return, which causes him to turn down feelings of others. This causes speculation as to why he's turned down so many, but he always avoids the question.
As Tae rose to stardom, reader was diligently studying and eventually fulfilled their promise. When they graduated high school, they shocked their whole family with the decision of going to college in Seoul. They were determined to find Taehyung and reconnect, but never found out about his fame in the Kpop world.
