DISCLAIMER 2016/2017: This book is a few years old at this point, and due to the political uproar in American in 2016 I feel the need to make this abundantly clear. Outcasts takes place in a dystopian world in an undetermined year in the future, and the political parties depicted in this story - the Republicans and the Democrats - are in no way, shape or form a commentary on their real-life counterparts. I had very little knowledge of American politics when I wrote this story, and if I could go back and change their names I would. Throughout the story you will read of absurd flaws in both party agendas, and in no way did I ever intend to shame or defame the real life Republican and Democratic parties of America. See them as purely fictitious - that's what they are, after all.

Its a place where kids rule, only its how they chose to survive that can get them through in the end. Its also slightly a romance book as well as a science fiction, Adventure and teen fiction. In this dystopian world, you can see, via hologram, the last time someone cried. There are people who use this to manipulate and antagonize others. Anna is the center of our story. She's a 16 year old girl who has under gone much heartache due to the dystopian setting. She has made a promise to her older brother, Drew, while he was on his death bed, to protect their younger siblings- a promise she hopes she doesn't break. She is very tough, but fear is a constant no matter who you are. In the story, fear is ruling her; the fear that she's failing Drew. If she, her family, and her neighbors were not in this setting, she'd be perfectly happy. But she can't be happy now, not with everything that's going on.
