"Wylie? What kind of name is that? Isn't that a city's name or something?" He says. Behind him, his friends laughed.
I stood up brushing my pants off. Annoyed at his comment, I smiled saracasticly at him. "Well done! You got your places correct! Now why don't you use your smart mouth to apologize instead?" I glared at him before I snatched my timetable off his hands. I pushed past him trying to get away from the bunch of boys, knowing he wouldn't apologize.
Just as I was about to slip away, he held my arm in a tight girp and whispered. "You don't talk to me like that. Ever."
Again, I smiled at him but this time, calmly. "Ooo, I'm scared." I whispered back, mockingly. "Well, too bad for me, huh? I just did." I ripped my arm away from his grip and walked away. Not before saluting his friends with two fingers, mockingly.
Shoot! I think I'm in trouble.

And... that is how I met Conner McCarter.
That is also why we disliked each other. He always made sure to blame me for every little things. That might be because he thinks I'm hiding something. I can't say he's wrong. I needed to make peace with him if I wanted no trouble in my new high school. I couldn't risk screwing up my senior year after all. So I offered him some help, which he couldn't help but accept. Thats how it started.... My senior year.
With a guy who can't stand me, his two best friends who likes me more than they like him and two girls who easily became my new best friends, you can tell that its gonna be another one of those cliché high school story.
Right?
Well, I wish...
Read my cliché high school story which is a mixture of humor, fun, love, jealousy, mystery and.... murder?
When did that become a part of my story?
"Would you like to dance?" the boy asks me. I stare deep into his blue eyes, but I can't figure out who he is. He's tall with dark hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. I know everyone at this school, but with his features hidden behind his mask I can't tell who he is.
"Sure, I would love to." Did I just say that? I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor.
We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? I know the perfect place." I nod and he pulls me behind him off the dance floor. We leave the hotel and start walking down a little path. At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge. "I had a wonderful time tonight," says the guy. He reaches to his face and removes his mask. I recognize him immediately. How did I not know it before?
