Harry findet als kleiner Junge ein geradezu versifftes aber dennoch hübsches Buch mit einem Schlangensymbol auf der Straße. Bald schon bemerkt er, dass er durch dieses Buch mit einer ihm fremden Person durch Raum und Zeit kommunizieren kann.
Die Jahre vergehen und diese Person wird immer mehr bedeutender in seinem Leben, bis er es schlussendlich nicht mehr ohne besagte Person aushalten kann und beschließt in deren Zeit zu Reisen.
Das dies alles in der Hölle auf Erden endet konnte er sich mit seinen 18 Jahren und durch seiner Naivität nicht vorstellen.-
