CΓ©cilia swallowed, aimlessly circling her fingers against the cool floor. Everything hurt. She had taken out so many of the enemies up against her, her hands stained permanently in that dark red colour that hurt her eyes.
Sighing heavily as he watched her in such a defeated position, Livius leaned down to kiss her, feather-light and ever-so-gently.
"Surrender," he whispered breathily in her ear. "For me. You've done so beautifully and done more than enough. You don't need to hurt for this anymore, you don't need to kill. I'll look after you."
That would be nice. She was so tired, and it felt so good not to fight. If only he wasn't such a dangerous thing himself that she had let come close.
